Announces Judges
Taos Land & Film Company (TLFC) is pleased to announce
the following judges will be reviewing the finalists screenplays entered
in this year's 2nd Annual Taos Land & Film Screenplay Competition.

* Tim Rhys, Editor, MovieMaker Magazine &
Writer/director of "Men In Scoring Position" (World Premiere's
Jan.15th @ Palm Springs/Nortel Film Festival.
* Chris Eyre, Director, "Smoke Signals"
The Entry Deadline is January 25th, 1999. The winner
will receive five (5) acres atop the Cerro Montoso (Mountain) filmmakers
colony that overlooks the Rio Grande Gorge in Taos. The award will be
presented at the 5th Annual Taos Talking Pictures Festival April 15-18,

TLFC also sponsors the Annual Land Grant Prize at the
Taos Talking Pictures Festival -- as part of their effort to encourage
the building of a film community in the well-known artist's colony and
ski resort -- Five acres awarded to the most inspired feature film entered.
Previous winning filmmakers and writers who are now land-owners on the
mountain include, Chris Eyre, director of "Smoke Signals"; Connie
Marks, director of "Green Chimneys"; Gary Walkow, director of
"Notes From Underground" and Reynaldo Cantu', author of "Why
Angels Cry", winner of the 1998 Screenplay Award.
